Security measures at Deauville-Normandie Airport

In the cabin
Liquids, creams, gels, pastes and aerosols permitted in the cabin
- Permitted containers : 100 ml maximum.
- They must be placed in a sealed, transparent plastic bag approximately 20 x 20 cm.
- Only one bag per passenger.
Other items allowed in the cabin
- One lighter per person, only to be carried on one's own person.
- Baby food needed during the flight.
- Liquid medications accompanied by a prescription.
Items prohibited in the cabin
- Liquids or gels > 100 ml.
- Products in an opaque or open bag.
- Firearms and imitations.
- Sharp or blunt tools.
- Hazardous products: ammunition, explosives, fireworks, flammable liquids, paints, gases, poisons, neutralizing aerosols.
In the hold
Items and liquids permitted in the hold
- Firearms and imitations (with company agreement).
- Sharp or blunt tools and objects.
- Liquids, gels and aerosols > 100 ml.
Items prohibited in checked baggage
- Ammunition (unless otherwise agreed).
- Explosives and fireworks.
- Flammable liquids, paints, corrosive products.
- Poisons, gases, neutralizing aerosols.
Devices with lithium batteries
This list is not exhaustive :
- Prohibited from transport : damaged, defective or manufacturer-recalled lithium devices or batteries, hoverboards, gyrowheels and gyropods (with or without batteries), electric bicycles (with batteries).
- Prohibited in cabin and hold (>160Wh) : large tools, drones and batteries
- Permitted in the cabin and in the hold (but completely switched off in the hold) (≤ 160Wh) with batteries installed in the device: small tools, drones, cameras, tablets, computers
- Allowed in the cabin but prohibited in the hold (≤ 160Wh): spare batteries and external backup batteries for: small tools, drones, cameras, tablets, computers
- Allowed in the cabin but prohibited in the hold : E-cigarettes, vaporizers and related items with a spare battery (only to be carried on your person)
- Spare and external backup batteries must be individually protected to prevent short circuits.
- If the energy consumption is greater than 100Wh and less than or equal to 160Wh: spare and external backup batteries are limited to 2 per passenger. Prior agreement from the airline is required for the device and/or batteries. Consult your travel agency or contact the airline.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I bring a bottle or baby food jars for my baby?
Yes, baby food needed for the trip is allowed, even in quantities exceeding 100 ml.
Are e-cigarettes allowed?
They are only permitted in the cabin and must be kept on your person.
Can I travel with an external battery?
Yes, only in the cabin. If it is between 100 Wh and 160 Wh, the limit is two units and the airline's agreement is required.
Is a lighter allowed?
Only one lighter per passenger is allowed, only in the cabin and kept on one's person.
