Are you flying soon? Check your ID now!
Before travelling from Deauville-Normandie Airport, make sure you have the necessary identification documents. Every passenger, including children and babies, must present a valid official document. Family record books, driver's licenses, or health insurance cards are not accepted as valid forms of identification.
Plan ahead: the time it takes to obtain or renew your documents can be long, especially during school holidays.
Documents required for boarding

To board, you must present a document valid until your return date.
Depending on your destination, this may be:
- From a national identity card,
- From a passport.
In some cases, a visa may also be required. Some countries require that your identity document be valid for several months after your planned return date. It is your responsibility to check its validity and renew it if necessary.
The quality of the document is also important: a damaged, torn or illegible identity card or passport may be refused during security checks.

Family record book, health insurance card, association/club cards, transport cards are not accepted.
National identity card
- Since January 2014, cards issued to adults are valid for 15 years.
- Cards issued before this date remain valid for 10 years for minors.
Not all countries recognize the 10- to 15-year extension of passport validity. We therefore recommend traveling with a valid passport to facilitate border crossings.
